Demand for inclusion of NE Horo and SS Besra biographies

Jamshedpur, Oct 20: While welcoming the decision of the Jharkhand government to include the biographies of Jharkhand revolutionaries in the freedom movement calling for separate statehood, Central President of Rashtriya Jharkhand Sangharsh Morcha (RJSM) and Jharkhand agitator Dil Bahadur demanded that the biographies of Jaipal Singh Munda, NE Horo and the hero of the militant movement demanding separate statehood and Bihar Legislative Assembly member who resigned as MLA (Bihar government) Surya Singh Besra, should also be included in the syllabus for students so that they were not deprived of complete information on Jharkhand’s revolutionaries.

While welcoming the decision of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto to include the biographies of Jharkhand agitators and important personalities of the state in the curriculum, Dil Bahadur said that it was a historic and commendable decision and the students should be given complete information of the heroes of the Jharkhand movement. “It is the responsibility of the government to provide correct and complete information (on the heroes of the movement). The Jharkhand government should constitute a special department for research on the history of the Jharkhand movement and get the description of the role of each and every agitator of the separate statehood and the national independence movements. The history of Jharkhand movement will remain incomplete and will be meaningless without the complete knowledge of Jharkhand movement led by Jharkhand Party President NE Horo and Surya Singh Besra of All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU). The ideals and thoughts of revolutionaries like  NE Horo, Dr Veer Bharat Talwar, KK Murmu, Dr BP Kesari, Surya Singh Besra and others who fought tooth and nail for a separate statehood should find pride of place in the syllabus on revolutionaries.”

Dil Bahadur informed that a senior delegation of the Morcha will meet the Chief Minister and the Education Minister and submit a memorandum so that the students of Jharkhand were not deprived of complete information on the biography of the main heroes of the Jharkhand agitation.
