Chaibasa, Jan 10: The villagers of Kurshi Panchayat organized a meeting with the mukhiya at Donkasai Village on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by Kurshi Mukhiya Niresh Deogam. The villagers demanded an express train from Barbil to Ranchi via Chaibasa for the people of Kolhan as the journey from Barbil to Ranchi is very difficult by bus as students and elderly face harrowing time.
The train would also facilitate the businessman and industrialist to establish safe connectivity to Ranchi. The villagers asked the Mukhiya to raise the matter with BJP spokesperson JB Tubid.
Mukhiya immediately talked to JB Tubid over the mobile phone in front of the villagers where Tubid assured that the proposal was very genuine and the matter would be placed in the upcoming assembly session. Tubid also assured that the matter would be briefed to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu for immediate action.
The good news was conveyed by Mukhiya to the villagers, the delighted villagers expressed deep gratitude to Mukhiya and Tubid. Present at the meeting were Kolai Deogam, Kunwar Deogam, Ganesh Kujur , Nandlal Kahndyayat and a large number of villagers from Kurshi Panchayat.
