Delegation meets Jamshedpur DC on RBML’s Development Plan

Jamshedpur: A crucial meeting was held at the office of Ananya Mittal, Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, with the Jharkhand State team of Reliance BP Mobility Ltd (RBML) to discuss the proposed development plan in the state and specifically in East Singhbhum.

RBML, a joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and British Petroleum (BP), is set to create a state-of-the-art fuel retail infrastructure aimed at meeting the rising demands for energy and mobility in emerging India. This initiative is part of Reliance Industries’ broader strategy to expand its network of retail outlets across the country, which includes the introduction of advanced mobility solutions and next-generation alternate fuels like Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and Electric Vehicle Charging Points.

Currently, RBML operates close to 1,500 retail outlets nationwide. In Jharkhand alone, there are plans to establish 110 petrol outlets within the next three to five years. So far, 50 outlets have become operational, while the remaining 60 are at various stages of submission and approval.

RBML is actively exploring opportunities for strategic tie-ups with government bodies and other agencies to set up retail outlets on available land parcels in East Singhbhum. The meeting underscored the potential for such collaborations to accelerate the development process.

The RBML team, including Rajiv Joshi, Jharkhand State Head; Jessu Matthew, State Business Development Manager; Anirban Dubey, Network Development Manager, Kolhan; Lokesh Parmar, Area Manager; and Santosh Singh, Project Head, met with Deputy Commissioner Mittal. They received assurances of full support from the district administration, recognizing the significant employment opportunities these developments would generate.
