‘Decode the Diversity’ exhibition showcases zoological ingenuity at Karim City College

Jamshedpur: The Zoology Department of Karim City College hosted an engaging science exhibition titled “Decode the Diversity”, showcasing the creative brilliance of Semester 1 and 3 students. The exhibition highlighted themes such as biodiversity, pollution and sustainable development through thoughtfully crafted models, posters and interactive presentations.

The event was inaugurated by Trustee Syed Md Athar Karim, who appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and said, “Understanding biodiversity is critical in today’s environmental crisis. Such platforms nurture curiosity and awareness.” College Principal Dr. Md Reyaz applauded the efforts of the young zoologists and motivated them to continue their pursuit of scientific learning.

Organized under the guidance of Zoology Department Head Dr. Shashi Prabha and supported by faculty members Sania Tahrim, Nuzhat Jahan, Sadique Akhtar and Subir Bhattacharjee, the exhibition drew large participation from both students and faculty of various departments. Exhibits covered a range of topics including ecological balance, invertebrate anatomy and endangered species.

Dr. Md. Moiz Ashraf, Head of the Mathematics Department, judged the event. The first prize was awarded to Farheen, Farheen Raza and Asma Kausar for their model on Organic Farming. Second and third prizes went to teams presenting Waste Water Treatment and Water Pollution, respectively.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a successful day of scientific celebration and student-led innovation.
