Jamshedpur, July 24: The arrival of a Vande Bharat train rack at the Chakradharpur railway yard has sparked curiosity and confusion among residents of the Kolhan region. Despite photos of the train circulating on social media, uncertainty remains about its route and operational schedule from Tatanagar station.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) of Chakradharpur division, Aditya Chaudhary, confirmed the arrival of the new Vande Bharat rack but stated that no official communication has been received from the Railway Board regarding its route. The railway authorities have not yet clarified whether the train will run from Tatanagar to Patna, Banaras, or Puri.
Meanwhile, work is underway to establish traction facilities at Tatanagar station in preparation for the train’s operations. Due to current line limitations at Tatanagar, the Vande Bharat rack is temporarily housed in Chakradharpur. It will be transferred to Tatanagar once the route and operational schedule are finalized.
Sources indicate that 17 Vande Bharat train racks have been manufactured at the Chennai Coach Factory, with one rack reportedly arriving at Santragachhi. The local population eagerly awaits further details about the train’s deployment in their region.
This development has generated excitement about improved rail connectivity and reduced travel times for passengers in the Kolhan area. However, the lack of concrete information has also led to speculation and impatience among potential travellers.
Railway officials assure that once the Railway Board issues its directives, complete details about the train’s route, schedule, and commencement of services will be promptly communicated to the public.
