Jamshedpur, July 18: The rapidly increasing cases of coronavirus infections and deaths of infected patients have raised disconcerting levels. With one more death reported of a COVID-19 patient while under treatment at Tata Main Hospital (TMH) today, the number has gone upto 9. The person who succumbed to the infection today was a resident of Golmuri and was 55 years old. He was suffering from kidney, diabetes and other ailments. He was admitted to TMH on July 11. Moreover, the deceased did not have any travel history.
As per records, the details of the nine death cases include an 88 year old lady of Swarnrekha Flats in Sakchi and a 71 year old male, resident of Khuntadih in Sonari died on July 4; on July 12, Pardesi Para male resident (55 years) died of the infection; on July 14, a Kadma Bhatia Basti woman resident died as did under Jamadoba (Dhanbad) lady resident; a lady from Patna died on July 15; on July 16, a lady from Chaibasa succumbed to her coronavirus infection and on the same date a Birsanagar male resident died; on July 17, a 55 year male resident of Golmuri died of COVID-19 infection. They were all being treated at the COVID Ward of TMH.
