Jamshedpur: A young girl was attacked by a man on Monday morning on the main road near Tapadia Complex under Jugsalai police station area. The man attacked her with a sharp weapon in which she was seriously injured. People were watching the incident, but no one tried to stop the young man. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
The injured was rushed to Khasmahal Sadar Hospital where his condition remains critical. The girl’s name is Kanchan Kumari. She is a resident of Jugsalai Gaushala Road. She was in a live-in relationship. According to eyewitnesses, the girl was going for work from Tapadia Complex on foot. Meanwhile a young man came and assaulted her on the middle road.
Jugsalai police rushed to the spot soon after the incident. At present the police are probing the matter. The reason behind the incident is not known, as the girl is not in a position to tell anything yet. The local people are in a lot of panic due to the incident.
In a crowded area like Jugsalai, the young man attacked a girl and injured her with the intention of killing. Later, Jugsalai police arrested the youth and confiscated his motorcycle.
