Jamshedpur : The body of a 24-year-old youth, Amandeep Singh, who was missing for the last 12 days, was recovered near Golmuri Golf Course under Golmuri police station area this morning.
The police claimed this to be a case of murder, but could not speak much on the reason behind the murder. A resident of Guru Nanaknagar in Golmur, Amandeep had on June 4 evening gone to attend marriage of one of his friends at Adityapur, but he did not return home. The next day, the victim’s father Gurpreet Singh lodged a missing report with the Golmuri police station .
The police have recovered the body and sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for a post-mortem. Officer-in-charge, Golmuri police station, Nehaluddin Khan said that the investigation was on and they are looking for every aspect. He suspected that personal rivalry might have led to his killing.
Amandeep might have been murdered the day he had gone to Adityapur for attending his friend’s marriage ceremony.
