Jamshedpur: Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan conducted a physical inspection of educational institutions and key development schemes in Dhalbhumgarh block, issuing necessary directives to ensure quality implementation and timely completion of works.
During the inspection, the ATAL Tinkering Lab operating at Narsinghgarh +2 High School was reviewed. The lab coordinator briefed the Deputy Development Commissioner about the equipment available and ongoing activities. He instructed officials to maintain a proper register listing all laboratory equipment. Students from Classes IX to XII are currently receiving training in app development and coding.
The Deputy Development Commissioner directed that a student attendance register be maintained and that still photographs or short video clips of each class be prepared and submitted to the Block Development Officer, Dhalbhumgarh, on a monthly basis. He instructed officials to designate school teacher Ambika Das as the nodal teacher for the ATAL Tinkering Lab.
Paswan also inspected MNREGA and Abua Housing Scheme works across the block. In Kokpara Narsinghgarh village, the mango plantation and mixed horticulture projects of beneficiaries Joba Singh, Mangla Singh, and Manoranjan Singh under MNREGA were reviewed. Officials were directed to ensure intercropping, regular irrigation, weed removal, pesticide spraying, and timely replacement of dead plants to improve the sustainability of the projects.
In the same panchayat, houses under construction for 12 beneficiaries of the Abua Housing Scheme were physically inspected. The Panchayat Secretary was directed to expedite the completion of all pending houses.
In Jugishol panchayat, mixed horticulture projects of beneficiaries Ganesh Mahto and Hemant Mahto under MNREGA were inspected, with similar instructions issued to maintain proper agricultural practices. The Deputy Development Commissioner also reviewed houses being constructed under the Abua Awas Yojana for beneficiaries Vijay Mahto, Prabhati Mahto, Sukru Singh, and Postu Karmakar, directing officials to ensure timely completion.
In Panduda village of Jugishol panchayat, works under the Didi Bari Yojana for beneficiaries Dulari Soren and Dhanmani Soren were inspected. The beneficiaries were found cultivating beans, bitter gourd, leafy vegetables, bottle gourd, and garlic, reflecting positive outcomes of the scheme. Housing works under the Abua Awas Yojana for beneficiaries Suhaghi Murmu and Sandhya Devi were also reviewed, with instructions issued for speedy completion.
The Deputy Development Commissioner emphasized that effective monitoring, inter-departmental coordination, and timely execution are essential to ensure that development schemes deliver tangible benefits to students, farmers, and rural households.
