Jamshedpur, Jan 3: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla convened a meeting at Jamshedpur Collectorate on Friday to review ongoing preparations for Republic Day celebrations in the district.
Shukla entrusted the Sergeant Major with the responsibility of installing the National Flag on the flagstaff. The responsibility of cleaning and preparing Gopal Maidan for the R-Day function was given to JUSCO team.
Shukla asked the district superintendent of education (DSE) and district education officer (DEO) to transport school children safely to the programme venue. District transport officer was assigned the duty of arranging vehicles for bringing the participants.
For the tableaus, various government departments were directed to make necessary preparations. Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee was asked to make arrangements for drinking water for rehearsal day and R-Day events.
The meeting was attended by DDC, ADC, SDO Dhalbhum, SRO, Deputy Collector Treasury, DPRO, DSE, DEO, DTO, senior police officials and representatives of Tata Steel, JUSCO and other local companies and banks.
