Jamshedpur, June 28: Jharkhand Mother�and�Child�Health and�Nutrition Month preparations have been started.
The nutrition month will be observed from 1 July to 31 July all over the state. To take a stock of the preparations, DC Amit Kumar headed a meet on Tuesday.
Present on the occasion was Civil Surgeon, CMO, DRCMO, MOIC of all the blocks, CDPO, DPM< Jusco, Unicef and WHO representatives. To make the campaign successful, DC ordered Social welfare department and health department to work together. At the meeting it was decided that 9 months to 5 year old child will be vaccinated every Thursday and Saturday. DC directed to identify malnourished children and make arrangements to send them to NTC. For the promotion of the campaign, Kishan Portal should also be updated.
