DC Orders 10-Day Inspection Plan to Boost Govt School Education in Jamshedpur

District Coordination Committee meeting: DC Orders Rapid Action on School Safety, Health Cards & Aadhaar for Students

Jamshedpur: The Education Department has been instructed to visit all government schools every 10 days to monitor and improve educational quality. District and block-level officials, assigned to specific schools, were directed to take concrete initiatives aimed at improving board exam results and overall learning outcomes.

During District Coordination Committee meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi at the Collectorate auditorium, reviewed the progress of various schemes and issued detailed instructions to ensure effective and timely implementation of development works

Authorities were also instructed to coordinate with related departments to facilitate bank account openings for students, complete Aadhaar registrations, conduct regular health checkups, and issue health cards, ensuring holistic development and welfare of children in government schools.

. Emphasizing inter-departmental coordination, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of collaboration to prevent delays in government projects and ensure that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries efficiently.

During the meeting, concerns over theft and vandalism at BPM Burma Mines (Chief Minister’s School of Excellence) and Jamshedpur High School, Bistupur, were discussed. Deputy Commissioner Satyarthi directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police to identify the anti-social elements at the police station level and take strict action to maintain law and order in educational institutions.

Zonal officers were instructed to take special initiatives to facilitate community forest lease rights for forest dwellers through the Welfare Department and submit their recommendations to the District Committee after completing the required processes. Scholarship applications for students were to be processed through the e-Kalyan portal, and land reports were to be submitted for projects related to construction, renovation, fencing, and beautification of sites such as Jahersthan and Dhumkudia.

Officials were also directed to expedite the physical verification of beneficiaries under the Maiya Samman Yojana, identify ineligible, deceased, and non-local recipients, and send their recommendations to the district. Banking institutions, Pragya Kendra operators, and Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) were instructed to resolve technical issues affecting beneficiaries on a priority basis to ensure uninterrupted access to welfare schemes.

Engineering departments involved in the construction of schools, Anganwadis, health centres, and drinking water facilities were reminded to maintain high-quality standards and ensure timely project completion. Regular site visits were mandated, and QR codes were to be displayed at construction sites to ensure transparency and accountability in project management.

In preparation for the Government at Your Doorstep campaign, scheduled from 21st November to 15th December, Block Development Officers were directed to organize and conduct camps at Panchayat levels. Officials were instructed to disseminate information widely, ensure maximum participation, and enter all applications and services on the official portal. Pending applications and issues were to be resolved promptly to guarantee that the benefits of government schemes reached the citizens efficiently.

Satyarthi emphasized that proactive monitoring, regular school visits, inter-departmental coordination, and transparency in implementation are essential to achieving the objectives of government schemes. These measures, he stated, will not only improve educational standards and infrastructure but also strengthen public welfare, ensure equitable access to services, and enhance overall development outcomes for the district.
