25th Sub Junior and Junior State Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 begins at Srinath University

Jamshedpur, Nov 16: The 25th Sub Junior and Junior State Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 was inaugurated at Srinath University today. The event was jointly organized by Srinath University and the District Yoga Sports Association, Seraikela–Kharsawan.

The championship was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sukhdev Mahato, Chancellor of Srinath University, under whose guidance the event was conceptualized. Dean J. Rajesh formally declared the championship open.

Students from the Department of Yoga and Naturopathy presented a yoga demonstration.

Dean of Administration, J. Rajesh, warmly welcomed all parents and acknowledged their crucial role, stating, “By encouraging your children to participate in yoga, you have taken the first meaningful step towards a healthier future.”

More than 450 competitors and over 400 parents from nearly 15 districts of Jharkhand, contributed to the championship’s success.

Several distinguished personalities from the yoga fraternity—coaches, trainers, parents, and students—graced the event. Key organizers and dignitaries present included Sapan Kumar Saw, Rampravesh Yadav, faculty members of the Yoga and Naturopathy Department, Anand Kumar Gupta (Assistant Professor), Sushit Banerjee (Vice Chairman), Amrendra Vikal (Vice Chairman), Sanjay Jha (CEO), Kanhaiya Agrawal (President), Pankaj Prasad (Working President), Aditya Kumar Singh (General Secretary), Rajni Bakshi (General Secretary), Vaishali Champatti Karmakar (Technical Director), Munna Sharma and Pradeep Kar, along with a dedicated team of volunteers.

The event not only promoted Yogasana as a competitive sport among children and youth but also strengthened the yoga culture across Jharkhand. With the growing interest in yoga and its positive impact on society, this championship marked an inspiring step toward building a healthier and more conscious community.
