Chaibasa, Feb. 21: West Singhbhum deputy Commissioner Dr Shantanu Kumar Agrahari released a child protection web portal ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star� at DC office on Tuesday.
Addressing a gathering, the DC said the website would facilitate a comprehensive approach to ensure safety, protection and education to the last person of the society.
�The website has integrated portal through app. The objective behind launching the website is the overall development of the child protection machinery to safeguard children who have been trafficked and forced to undergo suffering through child labour, child marriage and in which child was found in an inaccessible situation. The website would help to trace the children and facilitate to receive the information. It also includes the police administration for active implementation of rescue,� he said.
The DC also added that it is the first website in Jharkhand for child protection. �We are not only protecting the children but also we provide education and job opportunity through various schemes for their rehabilitation. We ensure Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas,� he said.
The SP praised the website launch and said that it would prove as a mile stone for the protection of the children.
