Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Karn Satyarthi inspected the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) warehouse at Kitadih on Tuesday to assess security preparedness and storage arrangements.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi reviewed key aspects, including the secure storage of EVM and VVPAT machines, CCTV surveillance systems, access control mechanisms, and overall security protocols in place at the facility. The inspection was part of a regular security check protocol for EVM storage facilities in the district.
Emphasizing strict compliance with guidelines issued by the Election Commission, he directed concerned officials to ensure that all security standards are meticulously followed. He also took stock of security deployment, record maintenance, and surveillance systems within the warehouse premises, underscoring the importance of constant vigilance.
Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh, along with other officials, was present during the inspection.
