Chaibasa: West Singhbhum District Deputy Commissioner Arwa Rajkamal visited the isolation ward of Sadar Hospital in Chaibasa and the Community Health Center in Khuntapani today. Realizing the need of the ward to provide alternative treatment arrangements available before sending them to specialist hospital for treatment, another isolated ward has been identified. During the inspection, Civil Surgeon of the district, Dr. Om Prakash Gupta, Additional Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sahir Paul, District Nodal Officer, Health Department-cum- District Land Acquisition Officer Ejaz Anwar, Dr. Sanjay Kujur, In-charge Health Other doctors, including officer Khuntapani, were present.
After inspection, it was informed by the Deputy Commissioner that ‘such cases are coming up in the district which are already suffering from some other serious disease such as some people need to get dialysis or some people have other diseases, then such people have coronavirus. In addition to infection, these diseases also need to be treated and may also need to be referred to other specialist hospitals such as RIMS, MGM for special treatment. An isolated ward has been specially inspected at Sadar Hospital with a view to providing alternative medical care to such infected and previously suffering from other serious illnesses before referring them to specialist hospitals in the district. ‘
