Jamshedpur: Election Commission of India is going to launch a special voter verification and information programme in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In view of the programme, East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar inaugurated a voter helpline centre at the Jamshedpur Collectorate on Friday.
The DC said the citizens can get information about election through just a phone call. He said the citizens may dial the toll free number 1950 to get connected to the helpline centre which would be functional on all working days during the office hours. An official has been deputed at the voter helpline centre, he said.
The DC said the citizens would be informed about registration of voters and status of their application forms, constituencies and polling booths.
