Jamshedpur, Nov 10: Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar has directed all officials concerned of revenue departments to make up for the sluggish trend of revenue collection during the lockdown phase. He directed the official concerned to organize camps for registration of firms and organizations coming under the GST ambit.
A statistical presentation of the revenue collections made by the various departments revealed the percentage collection made upto October against respective departmental targets. DTO recorded revenue collections upto October was 66.93 percent, Registration Department 38.08 percent, Sales Tax 52.87 percent, Commercial Tax (Jamshedpur Circle) 62.19 percent, Fisheries Department 49.89 percent, JNAC 60.93 percent, Mango Municipal Corporation 63.50 percent and Jugsalai Municipality 88.82 percent. The DC directed all departments to speed up their revenue collections to achieve targets set for them.
Those who attended the meeting included ADC, DTO, DCLR, Executive Officers MMC and Jugsalai Municipality, DMO and other officials.
