Chaibasa, Oct 8: West Singhbhum Deputy commissioner Abu Bacquer Siddique held three consecutive meetings at Chaibasa DC office on Thursday.
After the meeting DDC Anil Kumar Roy said, the MNREGA work is being done by Cluster felicitation team in which NGOs are assigned to implement 8 thousand schemes in the district whereas 11 schemes are already approved and they have been asked to submit new scheme for approval.
They have also been asked to expedite the work and start at least two schemes in one village hamlet. These schemes will be monitored by Block development officers and other deputed block level staff. There was a report of misappropriation and substandard work on various scheme and Deputy commissioner has constituted 18 teams to verify the facts and submit the report to the district office by 15th October.
DDC further said, if any Rojgar Sevak , Panchayet Savak are found working with carelessness, action with non-punishable suspension will be taken against them. He also informed that as per the state level meeting, in upcoming three tier panchayet election, certain schemes will be brought under code and conduct and that will be intimated later on .
The meeting was attended by ADC Jay Kishore Prasad ,District planning officer J Benjamin , Sadar SDO Rakesh Dubey, Chakradharpur SDO Nand Kishore Gupta, Welfare officer Raj Maheswaram , Jagnnathpur SDO Istiyak Ahmed, and Establishment section head clerk Drashan Karmakar block development officers including NGOs representatives.
