Seraikela: The deputy commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan Ramesh Gholap convened a meeting on pollution on Sunday.
The officials of pollution control board and other departments were also present at the meeting along with the MLA of Ichagarh Sadhucharan Mahto.
The participants discussed about the current pollution level in the district and ways to bring it down to permissible limits.
The DC said that urgent measures were necessary to rein in the demon of pollution before it damages the environment and lives of people any further.
