Jamshedpur : The East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amitabh Kaushal who on Tuesday inspected hospital has promised better facilities.
The deputy commissioner held a meeting with East Singhbhum civil surgeon Vibha Sharan and other officials of the hospital and ordered them to take up step to form society within a week.
The deputy commissioner who visited different wards, OPD and departments at the hospital was annoyed over the lack of facilities.
Earlier too the newly-constructed Sadar Hospital at Khasmahal is turning out to be a cupboard full of skeletons. Fresh controversies were cropping up every other day.
The hospital has been constructed at a cost of Rs 4.72 crore. The construction work had started in the year 2008.
It got over this year. The engineering cell of the health department had handed over the hospital building to the office of the district civil surgeon. The hospital has a capacity of 100 beds. During inspection it was found that the care unit, and one more department were reeling.
The civil surgeon said there were many things missing in the hospital building. Glass and other necessary accessories have not been installed in the hospital, she said. She said she was not informed about the discrepancy related to the design of the hospital building.
