Jamshedpur: Former Principal of Vishwakarma Technical Institute (VTI), Sardar Manmohan Singh, was seriously injured in a tragic road accident, while his wife, Dolly Singh, lost her life on the spot. Dolly Singh was a teacher at DBMS School. The accident occurred while the couple was returning from their daughter’s wedding in Ludhiana.
According to reports, Manmohan Singh had traveled to Ludhiana for his daughter’s wedding and was returning home with his wife and relatives. His in-laws reside in Ranchi, where he had parked his car before continuing the journey. Despite not being in good health, he decided to drive back with his family members, including his sister-in-law Ranjit Kaur, wife Dolly Kaur, and nephew Sukhdeep Singh.
The accident took place near Bundu when Manmohan Singh lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and hit the divider. All four passengers were rushed to Apollo Hospital, where doctors declared Dolly Kaur dead due to severe head injuries. The remaining three injured were later transferred to Tupudana Devnika Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Manmohan Singh, a resident of Kadma Gautam Apartment, had retired from Tata Steel and was actively involved with VTI, run by Ramgarhia Sabha. His tragic accident has left the community in deep sorrow. As soon as news of the accident spread and his car number went viral, Sardar Tajbir Singh Kalsi, General Secretary of Ramgarhia Sabha and Trustee of Kadma Gurudwara Committee, immediately reached out to his residence and confirmed the situation.
Condolences poured in from various community leaders, including Sardar KPS Bansal, President of Ramgarhia Sabha, Baldev Singh, President of Gurudwara Committee, former General Secretary Sukhwinder Singh, and Advocate Kulwinder Singh, National President of Qaumi Sikh Morcha. They expressed their grief over Dolly Singh’s passing and extended their prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The accident has deeply shaken the close-knit community of Jamshedpur, with friends and well-wishers rallying to support the bereaved family during this difficult time.
