DBMS honours meritorious ICSE and ISC students

Jamshedpur, June 22: DBMS English School honoured the meritorious students who excelled in the ICSE and ISC 2017 board examination at a function held at the school auditorium on Thursday.

91 Students of ISC Batch i.e. 56 Students of ISC – Science Stream and 35 Students of Commerce Stream were honoured for securing single point which was based on English + Best three subjects.

7 students of ISC Batch who scored 95% and above were honoured with Silver Medallion, Merit Certificate, Congratulatory Card, and a standard file to keep their important documents.

35 students of ISC Batch Science Stream and 20 Students of ISC Batch Commerce Stream were given Cash Award of Rs. 500 each, Congratulatory Card and a Standard file.

Rest of 29 students of ISC Batch was honoured with Congratulatory Card along with a Standard File.

Highest Percentage of the School was 97.25% and lowest percentage of the school was 56% in ISC.

In ICSE – Sarvesh Chandra – who scored 98.4% and became the School, 2nd City, District and 3rd State Topper was honoured with Silver Medallion and has been granted scholarship for his further education in the school.

Altogether 24 students as per the norms of the school were entitled to get the scholarship.

18 students of ICSE Batch were honoured with Silver Coin and were granted scholarship for their further studies in Std. XI & XII. Out of 52 students apart from the above ICSE students i.e Single pointers – who scored upto 9 points – including all subjects, were honoured in the assembly with a letter of appreciation for their excellent performance and have also been presented silver coin individually.

Highest Percentage of the School – 98.40% and Lowest Percentage of the School was 69.8% in ICSE.

In ICSE total of 107 Students scored single pointers out of 166 students appeared.

Members of the Management committee including B. Neelakantan-Chairperson, Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Jt. Chairperson; B. Chandrashekhar, Jt. Chairperson; Meena Mohan – Jt. Secretary, Padma Siva – Treasurer; Rajani Shekhar – Principal, P. K. Sahu – Vice-Principal and Co-ordinators honoured the students.

The programme was witnessed by all Senior Teachers and Students of Std. IX to XII so that they would be motivated to perform well in their education.
