DBMS English School Jamshedpur Celebrates Graduation Night for Class of 2025–26

Jamshedpur: DBMS English School hosted its Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing Class XII batch of 2025–26 on Thursday, marking a celebratory culmination of the students’ academic journey.

The programme began with an academic procession led by Principal Rajani Shekhar and Vice-Principal P.K. Sahu, followed by teachers and students from Sections XII A, B, C, and D.

The ceremony was graced by Chithra Sharma, Chief Commercial Engineering & Projects at Tata Steel, as the chief guest. The ceremonial lamp was lit by Sharma along with Managing Committee Chairpersons B. Chandrashekhar and Lalitha Chandrashekhar, in the presence of committee members, the principal, and vice-principal. The school choir opened the evening with a prayer song.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Rajani Shekhar congratulated the graduating students and urged them to uphold the values imparted by the institution while pursuing higher education and careers. Chithra Sharma encouraged students to strive for excellence and resilience, while B. Chandrashekhar called upon them to pursue their aspirations and contribute positively to society.

Teachers and parents also shared their reflections during the event. Mathematics teacher Ramesh Agrawal extended his best wishes to the students, while parent Vishal Trehan recalled his ward’s 14-year-long learning journey at the school.

Representing the graduating batch, Shafaque Ahmad Raza Khan (XII A), Rounak Rani (XII B), Ashna Kabra (XII C), and Siddhi Nagelia (XII D) expressed gratitude to the school for its guidance and support.

The ceremony also witnessed the distribution of awards:

  •  T.S. Ramaiah Shastrigal Shield for contribution to Science: Nashit Akhtar (XII B)
  • Special Recognition Award for Intellectual Brilliance: Mayank Raj (XII A)
  • Vidyavati Bahadur Memorial Trophy for General Knowledge: Mayank Raj (XII A)
  • Thomas Paul Memorial Shield for Best Speaker: Richa Arvind Singh & Ania Gupta (XII D)
  • M.N. Goon Memorial Trophy for Best Artist: Rumela Gupta (XII B)
  • Special Talent Recognition Award: Richa Arvind Singh (XII D)
  • Most Disciplined Student Award: Puranjay Muraraka (XII C) & Siddhi Nagelia (XII D)
  • Principal’s Award for Exemplary Dedication: Harshit Vig (XII D)
