DBMS College of Education Jamshedpur: Manoj, Divya win 5km race

 

 Jamshedpur: Under the directive of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, a 5-kilometer race was organized today for the students of D.B.M.S. College. Around 150 students participated in the competition, which commenced at the statue of late Nirmal Mahato in Kadma Uliyan and concluded at the same spot after traversing through Link Road.

The competition was flagged off by Firoz Khan, senior manager, Tata Steel Sports Department, B. Chandrashekhar, Chairman of D.B.M.S. Trust, and Satish Singh, Secretary of the College Governing Body. The participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the race.

With the aim of boosting the morale of the students, the college secretary, Shreepriya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Tamilselvi Balakrishnan, Usha Ramanathan, college principal Dr Juhi Samarpita, and Vice-Principal Dr Monica Uppal also actively participated in the run.

In the student category, Manoj Mahato secured the first position, followed by Amit Yadav in second place, and Shubham Kumar Jha in third place. Among the female students, Divya Jyoti clinched the first position, Srishti Saloni secured second place, and Sumitra bagged the third position. The awards were presented by the college president and secretary.

The college management expressed gratitude towards Jusco and Kadma Thana for their active role in ensuring the success of the event. All academic and non-academic staff of the college were present on this occasion.
