Jamshedpur: In a vibrant tribute to their motherland, students of DBMS Career Academy marked their success at the 30th Annual Prize Nite, showcasing a spectacular dance drama that depicted the rich history and current scenario of Jharkhand. The event witnessed diverse dance styles, including a captivating Chhau performance by the talented students.
The fashion designing students stole the show with a mesmerizing ramp walk, leaving the audience in awe. The school choir added to the cultural extravaganza with a heart-touching musical rendition. Chief Guest for the evening was Prof. Dr. S.S. Razi, Vice Chancellor of Arka Jain University, while Dr Shahin Razi graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Padmashri Guru Shri Shashadhar Acharya, a Chhau exponent, was present as the Special Guest, along with eminent Chhau Dancer Ranjit Acharya.
All-rounder award (in senior secondary) was bagged by Sristy Ray. All-rounder award (in secondary) was won by Nandani Das. Principal’s award for leadership was received by Harshpreet Singh.
The event was attended by notable personalities, including patron Bhanumathi Neelakantan and Chairpersons B. Chandrashekhar and Lalita Chandrashekhar. Geetha Mohandas extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests in her opening address. Principal Soma Banerjee presented the Annual Academic Report, highlighting the school’s achievements.
Secretary Meena Sundar Raj provided insights into the year’s activities through the Annual Report, and the vote of thanks was extended by Joint Secretary Vasanti Raghuram. The Annual Prize Nite proved to be a memorable celebration of talent, culture, and academic excellence.
