Jamshedpur, Aug. 16: The 71st Independence Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at DAV Public School, NIT, Adityapur on August 15.
The celebration began with great respect and enthusiasm.
The function started early in the morning amidst a huge gathering of parents, guests, mediapersons, dedicated faculty members and all students with rejoice and cherished moments to explore the patriotic fervor and universal appeal of unity and brotherhood.
To commemorate the sovereignty of the nation, the chief guest and the principal of the school O P Mishra, unfurled the tricolour and all in unison sang the national anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.
Thereafter the principal took the guard of honour from NCC cadet and the march past continued by the students of four houses of the school headed by Ashuto, Jaydev, Sandip and Ujjal Jha.
Speaking on the occasion the principal of the school, O P Mishra spoke about the significance of this day which brings the whole country together in her embedded diversity.
In his brief note he pointed out about equality, fraternity, justice, rule of law, honesty, and the fundamental principles of the governance.
The entire programme was anchored by Ashutosh and and Shivangi.
The vote of thanks was extended by B S Choudhary, the supervisory head of the school.
