Noamundi: Tata DAV public school organized a felicitation ceremony at JRD TTI conference hall on Wednesday for the students of class X and XII those who secured excellent position in the examination held in the session 2013 -14 under CBSE.
Director General Manager of mines (OMQ Noamundi) Tata Steel MC Thomas was chief guest on the occasion who inaugurated the ceremony. Addressing the students, he said, �The education is a collective responsibility of the society.
The students, guardians and teachers play pivotal role in this regard. In remote areas like Noamundi, the way the students have given excellent performance has indeed done all of us proud.�
The principal of the school Tarun Mishra, while welcoming the guests, �The students have performed well and the credit goes to the teachers.�
The students of class X who obtained 9 CGPA to 9.8 CGPA were felicitated by Sanjay Virmani and 10 CGPA students were felicitated by BD Mohanty.
Class XII Board examination students who secured 1st rank and 2nd ranks respectively Sristhi Kumari and SayantanMukherjiand third rank holder PriyankaYodav were felicitated by the chief guest. The students presented songs and dance under the direction of music teacher Rasmi Bhattacharya on the occasion.
