DAV NIT bids adieu to English teacher SD Sharma

Jamshedpur: DAV Public School, NIT, organised a farewell function for its retiring English teacher SD Sharma who after 22 years of service bid farewell to alma mater.
The function began with the welcome speech of the principal and deputy director of the school, O P Mishra.

Speaking on the occasion, the principal said, “The institute will surely miss S D Sharma sir and his professional expertise, his good relationships with the management, staff and the students.

R K Behera, a senior English teacher on behalf of English faculty said that Sharma sir was a good grammarian besides being a man of special character who frequently made the teachers’ staffroom lively through different personal, social and political discussions of day to day life.

Music gives a soul to the universe, flight to the imagination and life to everything. Where words fail, music speaks.

Now it was Rajkumar Acharya to enthrall the gathering and sensitise the moment for S D Sharma sir before he departed. The beautiful song “jindagi ke safaar me gujar jate hai”……stole everyone’s heart.

It was then time to listen to SD Sharma who while narrating his journey towards teaching said as to how and when he had worked in different DAV organisations under different school management and rendered his services for this noble cause.

Taking this opportunity, he expressed his gratitude to the management for the love and respect he received time to time and also thanked the entire teaching and non teaching fraternity for their cooperation. The function concluded with the vote of thanks by B S Choudhary.
