Jamshedpur, August 9: D.A.V Public School, Bistupur concluded a two-day Capacity Building Programme for in-service teachers of Jharkhand Zone E, focusing on early childhood education. The seminar, facilitated by DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, New Delhi, targeted educators teaching Nursery to Class II.

The event, which took place on August 9 and 10, 2024, saw participation from 56 teachers representing eight schools in the zone. ARO cum Principal Pragya Singh inaugurated the programme, emphasizing the importance of quality teaching and continuous learning for educators. She highlighted the relevance of the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and NIPUN Bharat for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).

The programme featured several sessions conducted by master trainers from various DAV schools in the region. Topics covered included Play Pedagogy, creating Vibrant and Giggling Classrooms, understanding Literacy and Numeracy, and promoting Inclusivity in early education.

Gibi Santosh from DAV Bistupur discussed the importance of play in childhood development, aligning with NEP-2020 recommendations. Tripti Tiwari from SJ DAV PS Chaibasa focused on creating engaging classroom environments that blend fun and learning.
Ganish Kaur, also from DAV PS Bistupur, emphasized the significance of strong literacy and numeracy skills in early years for overall child development. Chandrapriya, another trainer from DAV PS Bistupur, addressed the crucial topic of inclusivity in education, discussing strategies for teaching children with diverse learning needs.
The day concluded with an interactive session where participants shared best practices for holistic student development.
