Parents introduced to curriculum, teachers and school environment
“Parents and School Must Work Together to Shape Children’s Future”: Pragya Singh
Jamshedpur, March 14: An orientation programme for the parents of Nursery students for the academic session 2026–27 was organised at DAV Public School, Bistupur in Jamshedpur on March 14. The programme aimed to familiarise parents with the school environment, curriculum and teaching faculty before the beginning of the academic journey of the young students.
Sutapa Ghosh, Supervisory Head of Pre-primary classes, welcomed the parents and presented the school profile through a PowerPoint presentation. She also took the parents on a virtual tour of the school campus and explained the rules and guidelines to be followed by students and parents.

Teacher Gibi Santosh explained the Early Education Development Programme (EEDP) curriculum designed for the Nursery classes. She highlighted that the curriculum focuses on play-based learning, collaborative activities and hands-on experiences to make learning enjoyable and meaningful for young children. She also informed parents about the continuous and comprehensive evaluation system followed in the pre-primary section.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Pragya Singh emphasised the importance of providing a safe, secure and happy environment for children. She said that parenting is a lifelong responsibility and encouraged parents to maintain a positive attitude towards the school and teachers in front of their children. She stressed that parents and the school must work together to instill moral and ethical values in children and help shape their future.
During the programme, the respective class teachers of Nursery were also introduced to the parents. Soft copies of important information were shared with them, while pick-up cards and ID cards were distributed.
Parents also viewed the teaching aids displayed in the classrooms and interacted with teachers.
