DAV Bistupur holds dengue awareness drive for students

Jamshedpur, Aug 22: With dengue cases on the rise, DAV Public School, Bistupur, organized an awareness program on Friday for around 230 students of Class VI along with teachers. The session was held under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Pragya Singh and school nurse Mrs. Mausami Chaudhary.

The program was conducted by Tata Steel UISL’s Chief Manager of Public Health Services, Dr. Alok Suman Sharma, and his team, who educated students about preventive measures through an engaging drama “Aapki Baar Palti Maar” and interactive methods.

“Prevention begins with awareness, and such initiatives ensure that children become responsible citizens in safeguarding themselves and their families,” Dr. Sharma said.

Principal Mrs. Singh emphasized the school’s proactive measures, stating, “We are committed to the safety of our students and staff. Cleanliness, preventing waterlogging, and timely spraying of insecticides are regularly ensured within the campus.”

The program concluded with a pledge by students to spread awareness in their neighbourhood’s. (w/nkm)
