Jamshedpur, July 10: DAV Public School, Bistupur, hosted the annual prize night for the session 2015-16 on Friday for the student of Std. LKG to Std. IX and Std XI, at the XLRI Auditorium.
As per tradition, the annual prize night event began with the DAV anthem and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Amit Kumar, IAS, deputy commissioner, East Singhbhum.
Pragya Singh, principal, DAV Public School, Bistupur, other distinguished guests and other senior teachers of DAVPS were present on the occasion.
The school annual report for the session 2015-16 was read out by the school Principal, Pragya Singh, which was as much a walk down the memory lane and a proud account highlighting the efforts to win laurels by the DAVians to acknowledge the hard work of the students, the top achievers were awarded for their outstanding performances in the academic arena.
The prize distribution ceremony saw the dignitaries handing over the prizes to the outstanding performers, children securing 100% attendance throughout the academic session, Best speaker, best disciplined, All rounder, Well dressed, Outstanding performance in fine arts, most endeavoring were also awarded. The prize distribution was interspersed with cultural gala.
The large and the enthusiast witnessed a fascinating presentation by the children whose presentations dealt with a wide range of topics from hardcore literature (song from the Jungle Book) to social awareness and moral messages (Hindi skit on child labor), to entertainment (foot tapping Bollywood numbers).
Amit Kumar gave away the prizes to the achievers (Std. LKG to Std. II). The DC stressed on the three main elements to be successful in life, which includes deciding one’s goal, hard work and patience.
He also urged the students to be good citizen and contribute to make a better society to live in. The program was wrapped with the vote of thanks delivered by the school head boy, Akash Radhakrishnan.
