Jamshedpur, June 21: Yoga session was conducted at Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) with much enthusiasm amongst students of all classes to mark the International Yoga Day on Tuesday.
While students of Classes VIII to XII were trained by Yoga exponent Anshu Sarkar, the junior students were taught asanas like padmasan, garurasan, tarasan and anulom-vilom by yoga teachers Sourabh and Snighdha.
Anshu Sarkar emphasized the need for yoga for students which will help them to concentrate better. It�s important for students to remain healthy as a healthy body leads to a healthy mind.
Students also need to meditate daily and practice yoga 2-3 times a day to release stress and improve health. Yoga should be an integral part of everyone�s life to cope with the stress and pressure of this age. Yoga will keep our body fit and immune against different types of diseases.
Principal, Ashu Tiwary along with other teachers also participated.
Earlier in the day, a musical yoga dance display by student of Class VI along with Sourabh depicting dhanuasana, purnachakrasan, gadudasana and mayurasana was much appreciated students of all classes were extremely happy and excited in performing yoga and promised to adopt yoga in their daily schedule.
