Jamshedpur, June 18: Jamshedpur’s daily Covid-19 cases remained below 20 for second straight day on Friday.
City reported 18 positive cases while one death was recorded due to the virus. The death toll jumped to 1046.
With just 18 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Friday remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May.
The positivity rate stood at 0.29% on Friday. Jamshedpur also saw 39 people recover of the virus on Friday.Active Covid-19 cases in the district has dropped down to 209 after 39 patients were discharged from hospitals and Covid care centres on Friday. Of the 209 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur reported 18 new cases, which took its overall tally to 51,377.
More than 6000 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.29%.The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.
The overall death toll in the East Singhbhum has reached 1046 and the total cases 51377.
The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.29 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 6000 tests in the last 24 hours. The Steel City tested 6133 samples, of which, 18 turned out positive while 39 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high number of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.29 per cent, the government data showed.
The recovery rate has climbed to 97.59% while the active cases have come down to 209.
39 positive people recovered of the virus on Friday which took the recovery mark to 50122.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 383137 test per million in the district.
As per the records of health department out of 6133 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 18 were found positive.
