Jamshedpur, Dec 20: Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia organized Annual Sports Meet at the school premises on Saturday.
Several events were lined up the day and with hard fought encounters Daffodil House bagged the Winner�s Trophy of the Sports Meet while Runners Trophy was won by Rose House.
The best athlete was Tausif Jamil and the best athlete in NIOS wing was Zainul Aabdin . At the event the Annual Magazine of the school �Govind Prakash� was also released on this occasion by the Managing Director. Welcome speech was given by Mrs. Debjani Banerjee.
Earlier in the day, Chief Guest Dr. B.D. Sharma, the Managing Director of the school in the presence of Administrator Miss Krishna Modak, Vice-Principal Mrs. Molly Majumdar, Teachers, Guardians and Students inaugurated the Meet by lighting the torch and releasing balloons.
After Flag hoisting and March past the tiny tots of the school presented attractive Drill. The Chief Guest Dr. B.D. Sharma encouraged the students and highlighted the importance of sports in life in his speech.
Students after taking oath participated whole heartedly and were appreciated as the future athlete of the country for their energetic performance. The programme was anchored by the teachers Mrs. Naushad Razia and Mrs. Debjani Banerjee and Vote of Thanks was given by Teacher Vikash Anand.
Contribution of all the teachers was praise worthy in the successful conduction of the programme. The Sports Teacher Mr. Jamshed�s and Mr.Paras Bharti involvement was appreciable.
