Jamshedpur: The D.B.M.S. English School in Jamshedpur hosted its Annual Prize Night on April 27, 2024, showcasing the outstanding achievements of its students across various fields. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Sudhir Rai, GM, Medical Services, Tata Steel Ltd. The evening commenced with Yuvraj Sethi of Std. XII A enlightening the audience about safety rules, followed by a warm welcome speech by Shristi Rani of Std. XII A.

The academic procession of rankers was led by faculty members, with Divya Nair, Manisha Bhattacharya, Rajani Shekhar, and P.K. Sahu leading different groups of awardees. Highlights of the event included a dance performance by students and the felicitation of Harshit Verma, an ex-student, for securing AIR-272 in the UPSC CSE.

The special awardees of various standards were recognized, with Priyanshu Chakraborty, Jahanvi Agarwal, Arunesh Gadia, Ifrah Samina, Shatam Chakraborty, Parnika Kumar, Satyam Kumar, Sagarika Sharma, and Anant Jain among the recipients. An enlightening speech by the Chief Guest inspired students to strive for excellence, after which awards were presented to rankers of different standards.

The Secretary’s Report was followed by the distribution of special awards by the chairpersons of the School managing committee, Lalitha Chandrashekhar and B Chandrashekhar. The event concluded with Anant Jain presenting the Valedictory speech, and the felicitation of three long-serving teachers – Bhuvna Shridhar, Neelam Sinha, and Mousumi Tripathi. Tanav Ringsia proposed the vote of thanks, marking the end of the grand evening with the rendition of the school anthem.
