Jamshedpur : The third and final day of XLRI�s Ensemble proved to be a healthy mix of technical , cultural events and sports events. Apart from the last round of flagship events and domain events that were being conducted, the line-up of fun events such as MasterChef, Paintball, Mono Acting and Coke Studio ensured that there was something for everyone.
The final day of Ensemble saw the final rounds of many events being conducted and the winners awarded accordingly. Manthan, the social event organized by Sigma in association with Kalamandir saw participation of close to 120 students from all over India. This was a case study competition, which was won by Team Impressions from XLRI, and the runner up was Team Onion Union, XLRI.
The Next Gen Leader, the flagship event of Ensemble 2014 which saw carefully handpicked participants from the top B schools fight it out in an intense battle for the leader with the most promise to emerge victorious. A variety of skills were tested, including the participants� logical skills, marketing abilities, articulation and leadership recognition abilities. The winner was Shashank Gandhi from XLRI, who walked away with the prize money of 1 Lakh money.
Strategikon, the flagship event of CRUX, the Consulting Committee of XLRI concluded its final round today. Aces Full from XLRI and Tic Tac Toe from SIBM were the top two teams. All the participating teams had put in a lot of effort and judging them all to decide a winner was a difficult task for the judges.
MasterChef saw a large turnout with people enthusiastically creating dishes to be adjudged the best cooks on campus, and it was a competition enjoyed by students and faculty alike. The first round was a tasting test and points were awared accordingly. The second round was a taste of creativity with icing of the cakes being the primary task. The final round consisted creating a dish with given ingredients. Paintball that took place through the day had many teams participating, with everyone having lots of fun in military costumes and big guns.
The domain events of BM and HR, namely Poseidon and Apollo were conducted, and while the Poseidon results will be updated in a while, Apollo was won by Team Echaar and Team Olympus at first and second place respectively.
The day concluded with the much awaited Coke Studio with MTV concert featuring The Raghu Dixit Project. Tickets to the concert sold like hot cakes throughout the fest in various locations in the city. Tata Auditorium was swarming with visitors from all over Jamshedpur, everyone grooving to the refreshing recreation of folk music. The students were particularly excited to be a part of something as exciting as Coke Studio Concert.
