Currency notes bundle found on Tatanagar Station’s platform

Jamshedpur, May 21: On Saturday evening, a bundle of currency notes was discovered on a passenger seat on platform number 2 of Tatanagar station. The finding was reported by Vikas Kumar, an employee of stall number five on the platform, to Lalit Kumar of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) who was on duty at the time. Lalit Kumar promptly seized the money and attempted to locate its owner in the vicinity, but no one came forward. Eventually, the RPF took possession of the money. SK Tiwari, the in-charge of the RPF post, provided information on the incident, stating that Lalit Kumar was diligently performing his duty when the stall staff informed him about the money. Upon inspection, the bundle was found to contain a total of 27 notes of 500 rupees and 2 notes of 200 rupees, amounting to Rs 13,700. The seized money has been securely held as efforts to trace the rightful owner are underway.
