Cultural programme marks Teachers’ Day at Excel India Model School

Jamshedpur, Sept 5: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great pomp at Excel India Model School, where students organised a vibrant cultural programme to honour their teachers.

The celebration began with Principal Mamta Kumari offering garlands to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, followed by the chanting of “Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu.” Students then presented a series of lively performances including dance, music, and drama. The stage was successfully conducted by students Shikha Soren and Aniket Prajapati, adding charm to the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Mamta Kumari highlighted the importance of teachers, saying, “A teacher is not only the one who teaches in school, but every person in life who shows us the right path is our Guru. We must always respect them.”

All teachers were felicitated with gifts as a token of appreciation. Later, the school arranged a recreational trip for the teachers to a resort outside the city, where they spent quality time together and enjoyed the day.
