Cultural Evening on Chhath Puja at Jamshedpur Surya Mandir on Nov 19

Jamshedpur, Nov 14: In a meeting chaired by the Surya Mandir Managing Committee President Bhupendra Singh on Tuesday, the programmes and arrangements for the two-day Chhath Mahotsav celebration were reviewed. The meeting, attended by all office bearers of the Surya Mandir Committee, including Custodian Chandra Gupta Singh, discussed comprehensive preparations for the Chhath Mahotsav.

President Bhupendra Singh stated that the committee had made elaborate preparations for the Chhath Puja, ensuring cleanliness at both Chhath Ghats in the Mandir premises, adorning the entire temple complex with flowers, and setting up attractive lighting designs in the temple premises and surrounding areas for a grand cultural evening. The event is scheduled to take place on November 19, Sunday, starting at 7:00 PM.

Renowned folk singer Nisha Pandey, winner of Sur Sangram Mamta Raut, and local artists will present their performances. Invitations were being extended to the public through invitation letters. Chhath Mahotsav Coordinator Kamlesh Singh informed that as part of the tradition, on Saturday, November 18, at 11:00 AM, the committee will distribute free worship material to 1,100 fasting devotees in the Surya Mandir premises. The meeting was attended by Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Sushant Panda, Gunjan Yadav, Amarjeet Singh Raja, Pawan Agrawal, Tuntun Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Ruby Jha, Dinesh Kumar, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Boltu Sarkar, Shriram Prasad, Santosh Thakur, Bablu Gope, Rambabu Tiwari, Chandrasekhar Mishra, Khemlal Choudhary, Pramod Mishra, and Prem Jha.
