Jamshedpur, May 29: Now people of Kolhan will not have to go to private diagnostic centers to get CT scan done. A state-of-the-art CT scan machine is going to be installed at a cost of crores in ‘Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital and College’ located in Jamshedpur, the only largest government hospital in Kolhan. Residents of Kolhan will be able to get their CT scan done at an affordable rate.
A state-of-the-art CT scan machine imported from abroad is being installed by the health department in the newly constructed building of MGM Hospital on Sunday. Its facility will soon be available to the patients treated in MGM Hospital as well as the people of Kolhan. This facility will be available to the patients at the government rate on PPP mode. For this, Manipal Health Map Agency has been entrusted with the task of conducting radiology in Jharkhand. Under this, Philips company’s CT scan machine has been ordered at a cost of Rs 6 crores.
A CT scan machine is being installed at MGM Hospital by an agency named FDS Interiu. After this, its quality criteria will be sent to the Atomic Energy Research Board, Mumbai for the certificate. CT scan will be started for the common people as soon as the certificate is received. All this process is likely to be completed in 10 to 15 days.
