CSR initiative launched for drivers and mechanics

Jamshedpur: Drawing inspiration from Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry�s new fiscal year message wherein he emphasized on the need to work towards improving the quality of life of our drivers and mechanics, team CSR in collaboration with Area Sales Office launched Arogya and Vidyadhanam initiatives for the drivers and mechanics working with our dealers and key accounts.

Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles) inaugurated the health camp organized on 17th October 14 on the premises of Parivar Kalyan Sansthan where 73 drivers and mechanics underwent health check up for Hypertension, Diabetes, BMI, Eye and general physical check up.

At the end of the programme, each driver and mechanic was handed over a Health Report Card with a view to make them aware and conscious about their health status. While the drivers and mechanics were advised on their medical health by doctors from Parivar Kalyan Santhan and from Tata Motors Hospital, ably supported by nurses from Jeevan Jyoti School of Nursing. During the camp, drivers and motor mechanics were also oriented on safe driving practices our Safety Team.

Pisharody also handed over Vidyadhanam Scholarship, a new scheme launched to encourage education among the wards of drivers and mechanics, to first batch of such meritorious wards.

He lauded the efforts made by Team CSR in collaboration with Area Sales office and urged TML business partners to scale up such initiatives directed towards the key communities.

AB Lall, Head, Jamshedpur Plant, Sumant Sinha, GM (ER, W and CSR) & Shailesh Mishra, Area Sales Manager were present on the occasion.
