Jamshedpur, May 4: NML Staff Club of CSIR-NML organized a blood donation camp at its Burmamines office on Wednesday. At the event NML’s scientists, technical researcher, administrative officers, staff and their family members helped collect 82 units of blood.
Dr. K Murlidharan, director of CSIR-NML and president of NML Staff Club, said that the main objective behind organizing the blood camp amidst soaring temperatures is to ensure that there is no shortage of blood in the Jamshedpur Blood Bank.
Earlier, the camp was inaugurated by senior scientist and consultant Dr NG Goswami. To make the blood drive successful NML Staff Club’s Dr. GVS Murthy, Parmarth Suman along with TK Bhattacharjee, Anil Kumar Sharma, Manoj Kumar, Dr. Anjani Kumar Sahu and Ved Prakash provided full support. The camp was organized with the support of Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association and Jamshedpur Blood Bank.
