Ranchi, April 9: Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma reviewed the work of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in its office on Saturday. She directed to the officials of the bureau to issue letters to different departments for fast prosecution of all pending issues related with approval of prosecution.
She said that all 13 issues sent by Ministerial Secretariat and Vigilance Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi (Vigilance Division), were reviewed and departments were approved.
Verma said that all the 118 P.E. pending issues should be sorted out on the basis of priority. She said to ensure review meeting on every Monday wherein departmental secretaries, special secretaries, bureau chief-cum-police IG, joint secretary, chief engineer and technical examiner cell should participate in the meeting with all required reports.
Verma directed the Dhanbad DC to lodge complaint in connection with 3 land acquisition issues and take action on it.
In connection with Trap issue, the chief secretary said that the Ministerial Secretariat and Vigilance Department should present proposal corresponding with related issue so that money of the complainant can be refunded soon.
Regarding review meeting, the CS directed that handbills, pamphlets etc. should be sent to district headquarters with a view to encourage people to rise against corruption. Moreover, the phone number of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ranchi, should be made accessible to people so that they can lodge complaints if required.
The CS directed that departmental secretary should hold a meeting with technical examiner cell, Ranchi, and ensure evaluation of pending issues.
Cabinet secretary S. S. Meena, bureau chief-cum-police IG Murari Lal Meena, SP, Bureau Office, Ranchi, SP, Bureau Office, Dumka-cum-Dhanbad, SP, Bureau Office, Headquarters-cum-Palamu, SP, Bureau Office, Chaibasa, and other officers were present in the meeting.
