Ranchi, June 23: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma today directed the state officials concerned to ensure Aadhar seeding of all ration card holders.
She asked them to either collect the Aadhar cards of beneficiaries or cancel their ration cards. She said the work of ration distribution for the month of May should be done through e-PoS machine and action should be taken on the dealers who don’t abide by this.
Verma said that if ration for the month of May was not distributed through e-PoS latest by 30th June, action should be taken on the dealers and their license should be cancelled. “Special attention should be paid in delivering license in focus areas. Dysfunctional machines should be immediately repaired and maintained through concerned agencies. All districts should lift the grain on time and distribute timely. The FCI officers should arrange godowns and take it on district level if needed,” said the CS.
Reviewing the Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana, the CS said, “The application forms for the same should be filled through conducting camps at panchayat-level and the concerned gas companies should be coordinated for distribution of gas ovens and cylinders. DBT should be implemented in distribution of kerosene oil from 1st July.
All the selected beneficiaries are being distributed white card to ensure this. Distribution of white cards should be sped up in the districts where white cards have not been distributed. 5.20 lakh families are being provided white ration cards.”
In connection with paddy procurement, the CS said the payment bills should be flawlessly prepared and sent to the department concerned. PDS Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey and other officials were present at the meeting.
