CS reviews Banalat Action Plan, orders survey of beneficiaries

Ranchi: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma here on Saturday directed state government officials to ensure prompt disposal of public grievances sincerely. She issued the instructions while reviewing works under Banalat Action Plan in the extremism-hit Bishunpur block. She said the grievances of the people should be addressed properly and smooth communication with the people should be ensured.

Verma said that developmental schemes in revenue villages should be sped up and people should be coordinated and problems sorted out. �Cent per cent children of the area should be admitted in the local schools and dropout children should be admitted in Kasturba and other residential schools. Basic infrastructure should be strengthened and school managing committee should be made comprising village people,� she said.

The CS directed the district planning officer to form Sakhi mandals comprising 10-12 women from villages and connect them with economic activities. She directed the Labour officer to make a list of unemployed people after getting it surveyed and connect them with economic schemes of the govt.

Verma said the government will help in opening nursery school in the line of English schools in anganwadi centers. She said more BSNL towers will be installed for better communication. She asked the authorities concerned to conduct a survey of all widows and old age people to ensure their pension. She further said that health camps should be conducted at all 4 spots near police pickets and treatment as well as operation should be done.

On remaining absent in the meeting, the CS directed the Civil Surgeon to recommend to the government to give voluntary retirement to the medical officer in-charge of Bishunpur. She also directed the executive engineer to install hand pump in two days at Gobersela. She approved anganbari centre there and asked to appoint Sulekha as sevika. She said that drinking water should be ensured and check-dams and sack dams should be made on small rivers to irrigate the nearby area.

Principal Secretary Home S.K. G. Rahate, DGP D. K. Pandey, ADGP R.K. Mallik, Panchayati Raj Sec Vandana Dadel and other officers were present on this occasion.
