Ranchi, Feb 25: Chief Minister Raghubar Das laid the foundation stones for 41 projects worth Rs 126 crore at Rajrappa in Ramgarh on Saturday.
The CM also inaugurated Rajrappa Mahotsava at CCL ground in Ramgarh. Addressing a gathering, he said that Rajrappa Dham is a big source of energy. �Shrines fill us with energy to work for the people,� he said after worshipping the presiding deity at the famous Rajrappa temple. He thanked the people for their support in organizing the fair.
Das said that the natural beauty of Jharkhand is a big attraction for the foreign tourists. �The government is developing adventure tourism, mining tourism, religious and cultural tourism in the state.
Under this scheme, fairs and festivals will be organized at religious sites throughout the year so that people of the world become aware of the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand. Local youths are being trained as tourism guides. The government has received many proposals for investment in tourism. It will provide residential facilities in Deoghar and Rajrappa in the line of Tirupati,� he said.
Praising the festival organizers, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said that it will play an important role in the development of the state.
Sanitation Minister C. P. Choudhary said that construction of first women engineering college in Ramgarh is a matter of pride. The state will become completely ODF by 2018. By 2019, clean drinking water will be supplied in every house, he said.
Tourism Minister Ajay Kumar Bauri said that the places of historical, cultural and archaeological importance will be developed from tourism point of view.
