Ranchi, April 1: Laying stress on maintaining law and order during Ramnavmi, Chief Secretary Mrs. Raj Bala Verma directed DCs/SSPs/SPs of all the districts to do the needful and fix responsibility at police station level to maintain law and order. Effective check posts should be made in every police station and intensive checking should be ensured. All arrangements should be made in time to maintain law and order.
Mrs. Verma said that control rooms of all the districts should be put on alert all the days in the week and numbers of all akhara conductors should be available with the control rooms. Meeting of all akhara committees should be conducted and members of Mohalla Samiti and Shanti Samiti should be told what to do and what not in case of some accident.
Information related with peace arrangement at district level should be shared with control room HQ of the state. She also directed to install shine boards of �Dos and Don�ts� at different places. At the same time she directed to take action on people involved in communal activities and submit charge sheets against them. She directed prohibition on sale of liquor during the festival.
The CS said that the control room should be effective and additional force, vehicles and officers should be present. Processions should be taken through fixed ways and barricading should be ensured at all sensitive places along with CCTV camera installation and drone invigilation.
Video recording of all akharas should be done and kept in reserve. Video recording of the whole procession should be done. Physicians, ambulance and fire brigade and wireless should be arranged properly.
