Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Ram Sevak Sharma today said that the issuance of licence for mining should be made in such a way as to ensure total transparency in the government process.
He said there was need to ensure that the process was free and fair. He was speaking during a review meeting held on Wednesday. He said the mining policy was crucial for the state.
He said the state government was working to develop an automated payment system. The mining department director Vipin Bihari Singh said a notification had been issued to fill in all vacant posts in the department.
